schlossORTH National Park Centre

The schlossORTH National Park Centre is the gateway to the Danube Floodplain National Park and also the event centre for the village of Orth.  The centre provides information about the national park, registration services for tours and events, and tourist information in general.

The national park presentation shows the Danube floodplain from new and exciting perspectives - in the floodplain theatre, on a time journey, or on Austria’s largest walk-on aerial photograph.  The coffee-house, tournament yard, and observation tower invite the visitors to stay.    
You cannot miss the schloss ORTH national park centre located right in the middle of the village of Orth an der Donau. It is open for visitors from 04 June to 02 November 2005.

21 March to 1. November
March to September: from 9.00 to 18.00 hours daily
October and November: from 9.00 to 17.00 hours daily

Free access to the info-area, shop, coffee-house and tournament yard. 
 
Tour "Au-Perspektiven - mit dem Ranger durch das Nationalparkzentrum"
Including entrance to the exhibition "DonAUräume", the observation tower with slide-show and and the guided tour on the "Schlossinsel" with underwater observation station.
Daily at 10 am, 11 am, 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, 4 pm and 5 pm.
Length: approximately 2,5 hours
Registration only for groups necessary.
Entrance fee for the tour: adults € 9,90 / group price € 7.50  (more than 10 persons)/ children under 6 years free (accompanied by an adult person) / children from 6 to 19 years, students and apprentices € 5,50 / senior ticket € 8,90 / family ticket € 20 / season ticket € 20 / season ticket for families € 40.
